portfolio task 6

People travel for vacation or for business. They use exchange currency companies to change currency. Some people suggest if there is a global currency it will make it easy; my opinion is yes it is a good idea and it would help a lot in many ways. In this essay I will write why I agree with this idea, how it is going to affect other countries and what are the bad things that are going to affect people.

Currency is money but it is different from one country to another; there are different prices, ratings and even shapes. The first reason why I agree with this idea is the prices will be similar which means it will not change from one country to another. In this time when people travel they find big differences in price which can ruin some people’s plans.

Although there are some advantages there are also some disadvantages. The first disadvantage is the different economic states. For example, some countries have very strong economies so they will lose. Another disadvantage is that most countries will not accept the idea because they have a good economy. The last point is that I think the economy will be weak in all countries.
In conclusion, I think having a global currency is not a good idea because some countries have a high economy, and some countries don’t have.

The line graph shows the number of visitors to Australia by overseas residents from 1975 to 2005. The table shows which countries these visitors came from.

The overall trend in the line graph is a steady increase from 8.8M in 1975 to just over 30M in 2005. There is no fluctuation. Where did all these visitors come from? Again there is no change in the overall pattern. Most visitors in 1975 came from Japan, 3.2M, and most in 2005 came from the same country, 12M, a three- to four-fold increase. There was a similar increase for the next country, South Korea, 2.9M to 9.1M. Europe, Britain, the USA and China were the next, respectively, in number of visitors in both 1975 and 2005. The biggest increase was European visitors, over four times as many and the smallest from China, under three times.

There was a steady increase in the number of overseas visitors to Australia in this 30-year period. The percentage increase from the 6 countries in the table was remarkably similar.

A lot of people think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged . While others say that children should be taught to cooperate rather than compete , so they become more useful adults . In my next paragraphs I will discuss these opinions.

portfolio task 4

Nowadays many schools and institution teach the children to cooperate with each other and that’s what they call team work. A lot of jobs require team work so they can have a better decision. When the children taught to cooprate with each other it will be useful for them when they become adults. They will learn how to work with different people. Team works is very important for children because  when they grow up and they go to the college they will be able to work with a group.
On the other hand we should encourage children to be competitors because competition will raise the standred of study and work. When the children are encouraged to be competitors they will have an advantage when they become adults . They can get higher and more impotents jobs , becaue they will make a lot of decisions. Also when you have a group and one member of this group has the spirit of competition he will raise the groups work quality.

Potfolio task 3
Using mobile phones while driving is common, but very dangerous. Regarding the number of accidents that are happening because of the usage of mobile phones while driving, rule was putting to forbid use mobiles while driving.
First, mobile phones usage while driving is so dangerous for the driver himself and the other drivers . For example they can’t see the other cars and may cause accidents. Another problem occurs  is they may not see people who walks in the road. Tests by scientists at the Transport Research Laboratory said drivers on mobiles had slower reaction times and stopping times than those under the influence of alcohol. The problem is you actually get sucked into the telephone conversation, and the conversation starts to take precedence over the driving task.
Second, the person on the end of the phone doesn't know the driving conditions around you. if the call eas so important you better talk fast or stop the car and talk in talk in the mobile phone. People just don't seem to understand how distracting these telephone conversations are.
In conclusion, the usage of mobile phones are so dangerous and I think if it was so necessary to talk on the mobile at least you should wearing handsets.

portfolio task 2

The first graph shows if students of all ages study for a career or for a personal interest. While the second chart shows the amount of support each age group will get from the employers that they  willing to support by allowing them assistance with tuition fees.
80% of students under 26 study they study for career. This reason is not so important as students become older. Almost 20% of students over the age of 49 view this as relevant. A reverse trend is seen in students who study for their personal interest. Only 10% of those under 26 do this. The percentage increases together with age and 70% of those over 49 study for interest. For the age group 40-49, those who study for a career and those out of interest are equal 40%.
Employers are willing to support those under 26 60%, between 26 and 29 50% and those over 49 43%. There is less willingness to provide aid to those between 30 and 49 years of age. The percentage for these two groups ranges between 30-32%.
In conclusion, more students are studying for career than are studying for interest, As people going older they study for interest more than career. At the end, employers choose to support the younger age groups more than olders.

In the given table the information shows us the sales at a small resturant in a downtown American business district .

As we can see the table is divided into weekdays and weekends. Lunch meals had the highest sales on Wednesday with a number of $ 2595, while for dinner was $ 4350 on friday. On Saturday lunch sales was $ 1950 and dinner sales were $ 2900 . On monday lumch sales  were $2400 and dinner sales $3623. We can notice that lunch sales were always less than dinner sales approximately by $ 1000 each day.

In conclusion we can see that people spend more money on dinner than they spend it on lunch .
